The Caldwell Optimist Club is working with the City of Caldwell to promote community service through area service clubs. To accomplish that mission, they are hosting a motivational seminar, free to the public, featuring former Boise State football player Ian Johnson and coach Skip Hall.
The seminar will take place Wednesday, August 22 at Jewett Auditorium, College of Idaho, Caldwell. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with scenes from the 2007 Fiesta Bowl and the presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m. Johnson and Hall will be available for pictures and autographs.
The main focus of the event is to encourage area residents to consider volunteering in the community and perhaps joining a service club like the Optimist Club, Kiwanis Club, Lions Club or others. Stop by the event and learn how you can make a difference in the community and why your contribution truly matters.
